About Yaffa!

Yaffa Aboudib Husseini is an Arab-Canadian filmmaker, writer, animator, and illustrator…but her true passion is storytelling.

Yaffa is a Toronto-born artist living in Ottawa, ON and a 2024 graduate of Algonquin College (Canada) in Animation, as well as a 2026 graduate from Munster Technological University (Ireland) in Animation, Visual Effects and Motions Design. She also received a History Degree from the University of Ottawa in 2021.

As a child, Yaffa thrived in the arts. She loved ballet, theatre summer camps, and was lead trombonist in all her school bands and the Ottawa Youth Orchestra. She always loved to read and write and draw, so entering the animation industry was a natural progression for this multi-disciplinary artist.

Yaffa believes that art has an important role to play in both interpreting the world and changing it. She believes artists are silent revolutionaries and hopes her art can contribute to creating a more just and peaceful world for everyone.

Yaffa is currently looking for new and exciting work opportunities!
